The Spirit of Gheel

Quick Facts

Therapeutic services at the Spirit of Gheel are at the core of all our programs.

The therapy groups meet weekly at each facility and are led by our Social Worker.

Case management includes activities which are both unique to the individual as well as having a therapeutic component.

Our medical director is a psychiatrist who meets with each “friend” at least once a month for an in depth review of the “friends” medications.

One night per week we offer either music group, led by a local musician, or art group, led by a local artist, alternating weeks.

Beyond our residential facilities we offer a Transitional Living Program. This program is designed to enable our residents the opportunity to live independently in a nearby community while still receiving supportive services via our case management system.

Our Campus

The Spirit of Gheel has two residential facilities within easy walking distance of one another, Gheel House and Buttonwood Farm. Gheel House is located on 13 heavily wooded acres with a series of nature trails in a serene, rural setting Buttonwood Farm is located on an 1840’s horse farm in a serene, natural setting.
